Mrs. Ida Crowder Fletcher, 57 of
Lafayette Rt 5, died Tuesday morning at 10:39 o’cllock at St. Elizabeth
Hospital where she had been a patient for the past 5 weeks. She had been in
failing health for the last year. Born Oct 18, 1878 in Fountain County she was
the daughter of Henry and Hannah Thomas and was married to Thomas Fletcher Jan
2, 1924. Surviving besides the husband are a son, Robert and four children by a
former marriage: Mrs. Frieda Smith of Columbus, Ohio; Mrs. Juanita Wiley of
Attica; Fred Crowder, Attica; Theodore Crowder of Goodland; 10 grandchildren,
one brother, James Thomas of Attica; one sister, Mrs. WH Hedges of Los Angeles,
Cal. She was a member of the UB Church. The body was removed to the
Soller-Baker Funeral Home where friends may call after 4 o’clock Wednesday
afternoon. Funeral services will be held from the funeral home Thursday morning
at 10 o’clock. - kbz
